Esa fue una de las frases que utilizaron los protestantes es la ceremonia del encendido de la llama olímpica que recorrerá el mundo, iniciando desde Grecia.

Este es el nuevo antilogo de los juegos Olimpicos de Beijing 2008 y es que como han visto el día de hoy en sportsinter.net entre protestas desde el Tibel y varias partes del mundo, ademas de las violaciones derechos humanos en China y el bloqueo de informacion para periodistas alla en lejano oriente, estos juegos ya están manchados desde antes.

Tibetan Protestor infront of United Nations New York City
NEW YORK (AP) -- Dozens of Tibetans, young and old, held a noisy protest against Chinese rule outside the United Nations on Friday while President Bush was speaking elsewhere in Manhattan. Three demonstrators tried unsuccessfully to enter the U.N. and six were arrested, officials said.
The protesters carried placards and Tibetan flags, bearing dragons and a yellow sun with red and blue rays, and shouted ``Free Tibet!'' ``No freedom, no peace, no Olympics!'' and ``Wake up United Nations!''
The spontaneous protest was a smaller, more peaceful version of one in Katmandu, Nepal, where police scuffled on Friday with about 1,000 protesters, including dozens of Buddhist monks. About 12 monks were injured.
The demonstrations were held in support of monks in Tibet, where flaring violence resulted in burned shops and vehicles, and gunshots fired in the streets of the capital, Lhasa. A radio report said two people had been killed.
Psurbu Tsering of the Tibetan Association said its members had received phone calls from Tibet claiming 70 people had been killed by Chinese authorities, a thousand people had been arrested, and all the monasteries had been locked up. The claims could not be verified.
According to U.N. deputy spokeswoman Marie Okabe, guards thwarted three demonstrators as they ``tried to force entry'' into the compound through a staff entrance gate on First Avenue near 42nd Street. A U.N. staff member saw at least one man wrestled to the ground.
The six arrests were for disorderly conduct, according to New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne.
About 70 demonstrators had gathered in a traffic island, some sitting and some standing, and were quickly surrounded by police.
After about a half hour, an empty bus and police van arrived; officers took out plastic handcuffs in apparent anticipation of arrests. Instead, they persuaded the protesters to move to Ralph Bunche Park, across from the U.N. on First Avenue.
There, the protest grew to more than 100, and the chanting and shouting continued, including, ``Stop the killing!'' and ``We want China out of Tibet now!''
``Emotions were high; Tibetans were getting killed. At least we can raise our voice,'' said Tenzin Kalden of the Tibetan Youth Congress. ``All the Tibetans, big or small, young or old, they have one pain in their heart, which is the illegal occupation of China, and we need to kick China out of Tibet.''
He said ``empty words'' from the United Nations cannot solve the issue of Tibet.
``United Nations has to lead and has to act against the Communist regime of China,'' Kalden said. ``The United Nations is here for that purpose only.''
Asked what the U.N. can do since China is a veto-wielding member of the Security Council, the U.N.'s most powerful organ, Kalden conceded: ``That's a really, really big question mark.''

Espinosa logró su sitio en el podio en este campeonato que se desarrolla en el Cubo de Agua, instalación donde se efectuarán las competencias acuáticas de los Juegos Olímpicos de Beijing en agosto próximo, al contabilizar 396.35 puntos.
En esta prueba tuvo un buen desempeño la clavadista del Estado de México Tatiana Ortiz, quien no sólo logró el objetivo de clasificar a la justa olímpica, sino que concluyó empatada en el sexto peldaño con la japonesa Mai Nakagawa, ambas con 342.80 unidades.
Las medallas de oro y plata correspondieron a las representantes de China Chen Ruo Lin y Wang Xin, quienes se apoderaron de los dos primeros lugares de la final.

Encarcelan escritor por criticas a Beijing 2008
Desafortunadamente como ya lo habíamos mencionado antes aquí los derechos humanos en China esta por los suelos. Ahora acaban de encarcelar a otro reportero escritor.
Reporteros sin Fronteras denunció la represión de la que ha sido objeto Wang Delia, escritor que decidió criticar la detención de otro escritor y que se permitió escribir "Los Juegos Olímpicos esposados solo traerán desgracia a la población. El periodista Li Yuanlong condenado a dos años por cuatro artículos.

Me entero que en este mes ,fue el día del reportero deportivo. Exactamente el 7 de noviembre, Día del Periodista Deportivo.
Y al buscar una foto me encuentro con esta dura imagen de los próximos juegos olímpicos. Ya antes habíamos mencionado lo duro que esta el tema de los derechos humanos allá en china.
También me doy cuenta que el oficio de reportero deportivo en china, valga la redundancia estará en Chino, ya que hasta el momento hay muchas trabas para hacer su trabajo, como nos lo muestran en esta imagen, y en esta otra parte también nos lo enseñan, si sabes ingles pásate a esta otra foto.

It is with great sadness that I post this picture. Today was supposed to be one of the greatest days for American Distance Running. It was a return to the greatness the likes of Rodgers, Meyers, Beardsley, etc...
Ryan Hall won the marathon today in a blistering time of 2:09. At mile 18 he decided he had enough, and dropped a 4:32 mile on the competition to say goodbye to the pack. Some say he is the future of American Distance Running. I wouldn't disagree completely. He's definitely a huge part of it.
Then there's the local hero, Brian Sell (not pictured).. He came in third to make the team. He finished in 2:11:40 on a course that is NOT easy. 2nd place was taken by Michigan native Dathan Ritzenheim (rockford HS).
So you have three guys that ran their hearts out, and made the team. Two from Michigan...I should be ecstatic.
Then there's Ryan Shay. I believe he's the only Michigan High School athlete to have ever won the cross country title four years in a row.
At mile 5.5 of today's race, Ryan Shay collapsed. Medics were there immediately to give him CPR. He was pronounced dead less than an hour later. My heart goes out to his wife Alicia. I can't even begin to imagine what she's going through right now.
Whatever it is that you do in times like this, take a moment out of your day today for this Ypsi native, and honor a fallen Michigander. More of the tragic here.

La selección femenina de Cuba cayó en cinco sets frente a su similar de Estados Unidos y perdió el invicto en la Copa Mundial de voleibol que se juega en esta ciudad japonesa.

Amnistía Internacional y Los aros olímpicos
Esta fuerte campaña lanzada por Amnistía Internacional para denunciar los abusos en materia de derechos humanos se dan en China, y que no se detendrán pese a la celebración de los Juegos Olímpicos el próximo año esta causando impacto o por lo menos eso intentan en amnistía internacional.
Ya se habían comentado abusos por parte de los organizadores en la construcción de la villa olimpica.
